Underneath the sushi shop
First there came a little squark
Then there came an answer from the harbour
The sushi chefs were busy
Rolling up the sushi
When they heard the noise they stopped

Oh fish - what’s that?

And the little blue sushi shop penguins
Were hiding underneath of the air vents
The little blue sushi shop penguins
Were looking for nice warm place to call their home
Oh no!

So they lured them out with fish
Shut them in the sushi fridge
Til the city officers arrived
You can’t stay here the officers say
We usually give tickets but not today
Dear little penguins - run back to the bay!

And the little blue sushi shop penguins
Were hiding underneath of the air vents
The little blue sushi shop penguins
Were looking for nice warm place to call their home
Oh no!

Now in the middle of Lambton Quay
Little and blue and brave can be
Holding up the traffic as they waddled
Oh on the way to the sushi shop
This is a place we like a lot
Commuting distance from the sea
It’s the perfect place for me!

Two days later they both came back
Haven’t we warned you already bout that?
The officers were pulling out their hair!
We know you need a nesting spot
Underneath a sushi shop
Isn’t the best real estate
You can better down by the bay
Oh, good idea

Now the little blue sushi shop penguins
Are cosy inside their rocky nest
The little blue sushi shop penguins
Have a nice warm safe cosy place to call their home
